About Our School
At Manordale, our goal is to prepare all of our students for the 21st century. Supporting education for all, we use a balanced literacy and numeracy approach to help students develop effective communication skills. We follow an inclusionary model where all students are supported in their classroom, during their daily work, as well as in various settings within the school.
Our Core Values – At our school, we are committed to fostering an environment where everyone belongs. We believe in the acceptance of diversity and celebrate the unique backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences that each student brings to our community. We prioritize student voice, ensuring that every individual feels heard, valued, and empowered to share their ideas and opinions. Our focus on kindness creates a supportive atmosphere, where students practice conflict resolution skills and develop effective regulation strategies to navigate challenges. Together, we build a culture of respect, empathy, and collaboration, where all students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Be the I in Kind

At Manordale, one of our core values is "Being the ‘I’ in KIND", fostering a school culture where safety, belonging, and a welcoming environment are at the heart of everything we do. We believe that kindness is more than just an action—it’s a responsibility shared by everyone. By choosing to spread kindness and respond to others in a caring and respectful way, we create a positive learning environment where students feel valued and supported. When each of us takes the lead in being the ‘I’ in KIND, we strengthen our school community, promote well-being, and ensure that every student can learn and grow in an atmosphere of respect and inclusion.
Students
Our school is a vibrant community that celebrates students who represent a diverse array of languages and cultures from across the world. We take pride in fostering an inclusive setting where students are accepting of one another, embracing the richness that diversity brings. Through our PAWS program, the Four Square Problem Solving Model, and Zones of Regulation, we empower students to develop the skills they need to be positive and contributing members of society. These frameworks help students navigate challenges, build strong relationships, and manage their emotions. Our students actively participate in numerous school events, helping to create a dynamic and positive school environment where everyone feels valued, respected, and motivated to thrive.
Staff
Our dedicated and diverse staff brings a wealth of expertise across all areas of education. Our Educational Assistants (EAs) and Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) play a vital role in supporting students, engaging in meaningful conversations and taking daily actions to enhance student learning. We also welcome co-op students, student teachers, tutors, and volunteers into our classrooms, creating a collaborative learning environment. At the heart of our approach is a strong commitment to prioritizing student voice and providing support for academic growth, setting high expectations for all students to succeed.
Parents/Guardians and Community
Manordale proudly serves the residential neighborhoods of Manordale, Woodvale, Craig Henry, and Centrepointe, with a deep-rooted tradition of community involvement. Our strong and active School Council plays a crucial role in this, organizing numerous events and initiatives that bring our school community together. Through the efforts of dedicated volunteers, we enhance student experiences in the classroom, library, on field trips, and through our food programs such as our daily breakfast program. The Manordale School Council is committed to strengthening educational opportunities and fostering meaningful family partnerships, ensuring open communication between families and the school.
