Showcasing our Learning

Black History Month

Student Work

Students are continuing to engage in meaningful learning experiences that highlight Black
excellence, culture, and history through stories, discussions, and activities. This month is an
opportunity to deepen our understanding, foster inclusivity, and honor the diverse voices that shape our world. We encourage families to continue these conversations at home and join us in celebrating Black history all year round!

Grade 1/2 Math- Fractions

Fraction Strips

Our Grade 1/2 students have been diving into the world of fractions through a fun and interactive activity—creating their own fraction strips! By cutting and folding paper to represent halves, thirds, and quarters, students developed a deeper understanding of how fractions compare to a whole. This hands-on approach helped them visualize and compare different fractions, building a strong foundation for mathematical thinking. Way to go, young mathematicians!
